Who we are

With 20 years experience across a number of trades and professions, I take pride in the work we deliver.

Growing up within a family who’s attitude was one of if it’s broken we fix it, or someone once built this therefore it can be built again - left me with a passion for absorbing information, particularly around how and why things are made is they are. I completed an apprenticeship and qualified as a carpenter. This led me to work alongside a great number of different trades, whom I constantly asked questions of so I could gain the knowledge of how it worked.

A few years down the line, I transitioned into commercial property maintenance in a large office building for a big corporation. This enabled me to take all the knowledge I had gleamed over years of talking with multiple trades and put it into practice.

Fast forward 10 years, I found myself in a position where family were carrying out a barn conversion and I got to be involved - carrying out all internal works on the property from floor joists to final lick of paint. This truly cemented my passion for building.

I founded Towell Property Maintenance and Carpentry Ltd. with the intention of caring about the little jobs, the things that to a tradesperson may simply be an annoyance but to the customer are a huge deal. This value still holds true now - although the work has grown as is more varied than I ever imagined (never did I consider I would be carrying out repairs on bell wheels in a church tower!)
